I finally stayed my first night in my dorm last night. It's hot here in August with no AC, but it's my own place, so I'm not complaining to much. So far there are only two of us in the entire apartment, although I met my actual room roommate, he kinda vanished off the face of the planet, and I haven't seen him since we both dropped our stuff in here on Saturday and ran. The other kid here stays in the room next door. His names Mitch, and he is incredibly musical to the extent of me writing in envy every time I hear him do something musical. He plays piano, drums, guitar, he used to play violin, and he sings. All of which he does extremely well, so well in fact that he records his music, and plans on majoring in something along the lines of music recording, but more professional sounding major.
My dorm is pretty awesome. We have a decent sized kitchen, the biggest pantry you have ever seen, and fairly roomy bedrooms (unless your Mitch and you bring a keyboard). It's been lived in...a lot, but it was fairly cheap, and it has everything I was looking for in a dorm.
I've decided the best thing about dorm life is the people. School hasn't even started yet, so not many people are here, but we had a room of girls drop by last night to drop of cookies for us, just because. How awesome is that? I really can't wait to get used to this whole dorm experience.
Sounds epic. :) Have fun once class does start, if it hasn't already (which, it's September first, so it should have...whatever, you know what I mean. :D)
